Today is Tuesday, February 14. Valentine's Day! Hope you're having a great day full of love. :)
We're planning to go out to dinner with friends tonight. I threw up this morning, ate breakfast, took a nap... hopefully there's no more little incidences because I'd really like to have a nice evening. And I definitely don't want to throw up in pulic. That would be icky. (It's bad enough that I seem to be talking about it all the time!)
Here is some scripture for today.
Psalm 34:17
"The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles."
Do you get sick of me choosing "rescue" verses? I just can't help it. They seem to speak to me these days. I'm hoping that they'll say something to you, too.
Since today is Valentine's Day, you know I needed to make a card for my sweetie!
SHOW
Those little hearts are from a separate stamp set than the typewriter, but the design could support a little something extra. There was some text under the hearts that I didn't want in the design, so I covered them with scotch tape, inked my design, removed the tape and stamped the hearts. Voila!
AND TELL: stamps are from Stampin' Up (You're My Type, Sprinkled Expressions, Noteworthy), cardstock is Papertrey Ink (Stampers Select White); ink is SU (Real Red, Regal Rose); also used SU punch (1/16" circle).
Thought I'd show you a picture of one of my "Valentines".
Yep, my human Valentine. This is our son, Ian, holding his new dog, Dash. Cute, huh? Both Ian and Dash. :) Dash is (they suspect) part chihuahua and part dachshund. I think his face has kind of an old soul type of look. He's pretty cute, but I'm hoping that Ian's in it for the long-haul . We definitely don't need a new dog!
And while this girl enjoys the company, I don't think she'd be into the day-in and day-out of having a puppy around either. She likes to lounge way too much to have a hyper little dog around all the time.
Well, that's all for today. I hope to be back tomorrow. And I hope you have had/are having a very special Valentine's Day! Love and hugs to you!
Dash is very cute! I hope you and Ken enjoy your evening out tonight, with no sickies. Sure do miss you. Happy Valentines to you both. Love, Sheri

Happy Valentine's Day, Janelle & Ken!!
I love the picture of your dog all comfy on the couch - they really do like their digs comfy don't they! And Dash - what a cute name for the little guy - he sure does have an "old soul" look about him. By the way, the big guy in the picture is looking pretty good too! Congratulations on being "grandparents"! We welcomed a 5 month old "grand-puppy" to the family in the fall - Carolyn has a half lab/half collie named Heidi - a real cute girl. . .but a tad bigger then Dash!
Hope you enjoyed your evening out with your friends - you deserve it (and many more!
Love,
Cathy

Hope you had a great Valentine's dinner. Hope your nausea will soon pass. Think of you so often dear friend. BTW I managed to complete a marathon on Sunday. I have now qualified for my 56km run in April and the Comrades marathon(90km)in June...So I still have a long way to go with my training. I'm telling you all of this because I want you to know that thinking of you and your battle with cancer is what gets me through these long runs and motivates me. You are an amazing woman. Love and hugs xxx

Sorry to hear about the sickness Janelle and hope that it doesn't intrude upon your evening. I absolutely love your valentine for your husband and am sure he'll appreciate it too! Take care.

Nice looking human "valentine" you have there.
I can imagine that Dash would be a handful...
no pun intended! A hyper little dog would not
make it in my household! Oh, BTW, have you
seen the latest PTI release? Fab-u-lous!!!
Really had to restrain myself!

I always enjoy looking at your blog and appreciate the time you put into sharing your story. I beleive dogs are some type of healing spirit. I have only had my dog for 2 years, but he just seems to sooth me and calm me at times just by sitting on my lap and being petted. Dash is such a cute name!! Cute Puppy!! Cute Son!! OBTW - your cards and tags are wonderful too! God Bless! Julie

I love the picture of your sleppy doggie. I hope we didn't talk your ear off the other morning in our classroom. We just miss you SO much.
