Today is Friday, February 17. I think I mentioned that we were going to spend Valentine's evening with our friends Ron and Teri at King's Kitchen. You know I love that place.
Me and my blue-eyed friends. :) I used to be pretty decent at getting the eyes clear of the red-eye glare, but no more. So I gave up and just used the picture as it was.
I've shown you my favorite fried chicken from King's Kitchen before. A couple times, I think. But this is the time I've shown you one of their desserts.
We don't usually buy dessert, but — hey! — it was Valentine's Day! This is the first time we've had King's Kitchen's banana pudding, which they're known for. Delish! And a great way to end our evening with our friends.
Scripture for today from the Psalms.
Psalm 36:5
"Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds."
God is so faithful. No matter what is going on in your life, God is there faithfully holding, loving, and guiding you. His faithfulness is as wide as all the heavens... vast and unending. This makes me think of the Third Day song, "Your Love Oh Lord" (video here). What a great song. What a great God!
I did something I don't recall really doing before.
SHOW
I made a totally neutral card. Usually I'm much more into color, so this was a bit of a departure for me. But a pretty fun one. However, I can't imagine doing this very often. I love color just too, too much. :)
AND TELL: cardstock is Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream); twine is PTI (Rustic Jute); button is PTI (Fine Linen); also used PTI die (Beautiful Blooms #3) and Stampin' Up embossing folder (Designer Frames).
That is all for today. I've got to get busy on more cards and things so I have more crafty stuff to post. Don't want you getting bored, now, do we?
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll hope to "see" you again tomorrow. Love and hugs!
I love the card - I'm the neutral one in the family... :)
Glad you had a good time with friends... love you much, janis

Glad you had such a good Valentine's evening. That dessert looks so yummy. I have such a sweet tooth...one of the reasons I run! LOL. I think your card is so pretty. I tend to choose neutral tones, especially with my clothing. Love and hugs xxx

I love your card. Very classy. That pudding is way too tempting and I'm trying hard to stay on this diet. I'm mailing your card a day late - I forgot to take it into town with me yesterday. Love seeing the little bit of humor here today, too. Love you lots. Hugs and prayers.

I love that card Janelle! That musical flower is so pretty! And a fabulous verse today! I needed to hear it! Thanks so much for always sharing your heart!

Happy valentines day. Your card is really striking. You are as good at neutrals as you are with color. Hugs from San Diego.
