This card! It was always my favorite of the bunch I've been showing you, but guess what?! It was Nichole's favorite, too! It won the Quick & Easy Holiday Card category in the Papertrey Ink Guest Star Stamper contest for November. That was really unexpected... and exciting... and humbling... and well, there were a lot of really good entries (I checked them out earlier today) so I'm amazed that this little card survived the competition.
SHOW
I'm lovin' this color combo — it's the same as yesterday's, minus the green. This time I used circle nestabilities to emboss the medallion and then die cut it with a scalloped circle. To give the card a little sparkle I spread glue in the debossed circle and sprinkled it with Prisma glitter, before popping it up on the card base.
AND TELL: stamps are from Papertrey Ink (Borders & Corners Circles; Tree Trimming Trio; Polka Dot Basics II); cardstock is PTI (Stampers Select White); ink is Stampin' Up (Only Orange, Cameo Coral) and PTI (Dark Chocolate); button is PTI (Orange Zest); rhinestones are Kaiser (Clear, purchased through PTI); also used Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities.
If you own any Papertrey Ink stamps, are you using them to submit projects in the monthly Guest Star Stamper contests? You really should. You never know what will catch their eye. And, if you win, you get to choose a free stamp set! (Isn't that worth the effort?!)
Yesterday Laura suggested that I post a picture of all these cards together. Great idea and I'll do that tomorrow when I post the last of these five very similar cards. Then I have a couple more to show. After that — I'm not sure. But I'll come up with something... eventually.
That you took a little time out of your day to stop by for a visit means a lot to me. Thanks! And I hope to see you again soon...
Congratulations again Janelle... such a pretty card! I like your 3rd card as well.. love the colorful background!!

Hi Janelle,
I've been saving the post with your card for quite a while now. I figured it was about time to tell you how much I love it! I am amazed at your precision in placing the glue! I've been wondering all this time how you did that. I'll have to give it a try!
