Today is Sunday, March 4. I feel like I haven't blogged in awhile. Probably because it takes me so l-o-n-g. I'm very slow. It's unbelievable. Maybe I was always a little slow, but just lately it's just ridiculous. I have to type things so many times to get them right. So I may become a once or twice a week kind of blogger. It's a change and I'm sorry about that.
Britt and Kenneth (our daughter and son-in-law) were here this weekend. It's always good to see them, of course. Britt went to stamp club with me on Saturday and then we all went out for dinner at a local restaurant called Trio. Ian joined us, too. Wow. The whole family together. That doesn't happen very often!
Of course, we didn't think to take a picture until the next day when Ian was gone and Britt and Kenneth were leaving to go back to Raleigh. Maybe someday we'll think to get a photo of the five us.
For today:
Proverbs 10:25
"When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation."
I'm thankful that my foundation is lasting, because the storms of life have definitely come my way. It's difficult to even put a blog post together due to errors in typing and having to search the keybord for what I need. Not all the time, but often enough that it is very annoying.
I just had a melt down due to all the above, so you can pray for me and for Ken. It's very hard on the both of us. Probably more for him because it's out of his control — and we all know how guys like to fix things. Thank you for your prayers for us. And to the Lord for being with us in the storms of life.
Saturday was stamp club and the theme was Easter or Spring.

You now how I'm the queen of the simple. This is another simple, easy, fast card. Just a couple layers and we're done.
AND TELL: stamp are Stampin' Up (Sweet Floral, Well Scripted); cardstock is Papertrey Ink (Rustic White); ink is SU (Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder); twine is from SU (hemp); also used SU Sizzlets (Lots of Tags Label 3).
I've been meaning to tell you about how I liked the Hunger Games series. I liked the first and second books. I hated the third. Until I read the the epilogue. Having closure, I guess, is important to me. :)
That's really it. It's taken me hours, but all the tears are worth it to me. I love the contact with you, hearing about your days, and the chance to let you know how best to pray for us. (By the way, we have a scan on Tuesday with the results on Wednesday.) Hugs and prayers to you!
I always have to proof read everything I type 3 or 4 times because my brain is always half a dozen words ahead of my fingers and my fingers seem to hit whatever key they feel like and I don't have the added burden that you do. Will continue to keep you guys lifted up in prayer. Blessings to you my friend!

I really like your sweet card. I'm a total sucker for florals. I'm sorry that things like blogging, which were routine in the past, are not that way right now. You can't always be in a good mood and sometimes it's the smaller things (that you haven't girded yourself for, perhaps, the way you would a treatment or appointment) that can just take a bite right out of your mood. Whenever I pray for you I pray for Ken, too. Well, I usually pray for Britt, Kenneth, and Ian, too. And your family and close friends who are supporting you. Sending hugs and prayers.

Dear Janelle,
Glad that you had all the family together this weekend. That's always fun. Sorry it's hard for you to blog, but there are lots of us out here that enjoy your messages so much -- and your cards. Doug and I pray each day for you but will be praying extra for the scan on Tuesday and results on Wednesday. We'll be waiting to hear the results.
I got a card yesterday from a missionary we support with Wycliffe. He asked about you and wanted an update. He and his wife are praying for you too.
Sending our love...Patsy

So sorry to hear about your difficulties. I do so appreciate hearing from you, and I am so sorry that life is so difficult these days. I'm encouraged that you still have your gift for crafting, and I continue to be inspired by your creative ideas and your zest for life. Hugs from San Diego.

Hi sweet Janelle! I haven't left a comment for the longest time...we are somewhat settled in the new house and the dh has been working a lot out of town. We are also having job action at work and BC teachers are on a 3 day strike tomorrow :( I have kept you in my prayers, though :) Here's hoping for good news on Wednesday for you :) ACK!! I 'm just starting the 2nd book of Hunger Games. I liked the first although the whole plot is insane and barbaric!! Wanted to read it before the movie came out and Costco had the whole trilogy. Sending you big hugs :)

Hi my Janelle. I love reading your posts, it is part of my daily routine and i just love it. But i would NEVER want you to get sad or stressed out because of something like that. The whole purpose is for you to be happy and do things that make you deal with life -as it has become- better. so if that means you ll be a twice a week blogger, so be it.
Will be praying for good results
love you...

Janelle - I am praying for you and your family. Life is hard, but God is good. I am so grateful you have Him to lean on when it's all so challenging. Take care and be extra kind to yourself!

Oh, Janelle. How I pray for you adn Ken. Brekdowns are okay, though. I have had many over the last 4 years with all that has occured in my life. I know God loves you and has a plan for all this. It is hard to see when we are in the struggle. I know, my struggle is still going (4 years now) and I will be moving back to Alabama in June to begin a whole new struggle. I am so thankful you have your great husband to carry you physically while your heavenly father carries you spiritually. That makes a BIG difference. I love you!
