Just popping on quickly to show you a couple more cards for my third "Farewell Tour" — I started saying good-bye to an old Stampin' Up sentiment set, All Year Cheer I, yesterday. Since I like to do the One Layer Wednesday challenges, I decided to use a couple of those challenges as inspiration.
The challenge for OLW 25 (as issued on Jennifer Styles' blog) was to use birds, bees, flowers, and/or trees along with a sentiment. (And, yes, I've been singing that old song for nearly a week now...)
SHOW
I decided to keep the look simple — just coloring in the flower centers and adding a little Stickles to the bees' wings.
AND TELL: stamps are from Stampin' Up (All Year Cheer I, In Full Bloom); cardstock is Papertrey Ink (Rustic White); ink is Memento (Tuxedo Black); also used Stampin' Write marker (Daffodil Delight), Stardust Stickles, and a Scor-Pal.
And, since I had just one more One Layer Wednesday challenge to be all caught up, here's a card for OLW17 — to use a border stamp.
SHOW
Since I liked the previous card a lot (and since that floral stamp set has a border stamp in it), I decided to go with the same sort of idea on this card. I like the first card best, but this one's not too bad either. :)
AND TELL: stamps are from Stampin' Up (All Year Cheer I, In Full Bloom); cardstock is Papertrey Ink (Rustic White); ink is Memento (Tuxedo Black); gemstones are Kaiser (Black); also used Stampin' Write marker (Daffodil Delight), Stardust Stickles, Scor-Pal, and PTI's Picnic Plaid impression plate.
I think that's it for tonight. We're sitting here watching The Biggest Loser and then we'll watch Parenthood. Love Parenthood. Such a great show. Do you watch it?
Hope you're having a great evening, too. Thanks so much for stopping by here for a few minutes! See ya tomorrow.
We have to watch Dancing with the stars..........our favorite Ram (nee Cardial) quarterback Kurt Warner lives to dance another week!!!

We are in Grant's Pass, Oregon tonight! Love both of your cards. Really fabulous designs. Nope, don't watch Parenthood. DWTS's and just finished NCIS and now watching NCIS Los Angeles. We tend to like those "kick butt" shows!

Really like these cards. I don't have cable at home so I don't really watch much t.v. but I am trying to learn French.

I am loving the second card, actually. I mean they are both great, but I love the geometric look of the second.
You just rock at these challenges!

Wow! The first card is a perfect 10 for me - I love the black and white line image with the tiny pops of colour and I adore the sentiment - you can't get rid of that surely! The other card is beautiful too. You really are the mistress of these one layer cards!

Brenden has by far become my least favorite contestant of all time. I think the reason why is because I was really pulling for him early in the season, and I was kind of hoping for a fairy tale ending for him with his exfiance on stage together at the finale. Now, I still would like to see them together, but just to watch her kick him in the junk. Since he shaved his head I keep thinking of him as the Curly part of their three stooge alliance. I hope the others get a clue and gang up against them asap.
