Yep. You know it's been awhile when your husband gets on you for not updating your blog. (He did so in a nice way, of course!)
So, I do have quite a few things that I haven't posted. Why don't we start with a couple Clean and Simple cards. The first is for the Clean and Simple Stamping blog's Fall-to-Layout 62. I love this really, really simple layout. It gave me an opportunity to showcase some of my favorite patterned paper — a Heather Bailey print by Autumn Leaves. So soft and pretty looking.
SHOW
A nice, simple and FAST birthday card!
AND TELL: stamp is from Papertrey Ink (Damask Designs); cardstock is PTI (Vintage Cream for the base that you can't see) and Stampin' Up (Pink Pirouette); patterned paper is Autumn Leaves (a Heather Bailey print); ink is Stampin' Up (Basic Gray); ribbon is from Michaels; also used the EK Success Large Embossed Scallop border punch.
Since I'm in catch-up mode, here's another Fall-to-Layout — #13. I thought about using more of a silouette stamp, but then decided to combine two Papertrey Ink sets to come up with this.
SHOW
Just because a set is designed to be used with buttons, doesn't mean that it has to be. It's pretty fun to look around at your other sets and see what you can substitute in for where the buttons are supposed to be — in this case, a small flower from Floral Fusion.
AND TELL: stamps are from Papertrey Ink (Everyday Button Bits, Floral Fusion); cardstock is PTI (Stamper's Select White); ink is from Stampin' Up (Green Galore, Pink Passion, Orchid Opulence, Only Orange); ribbon is from Michael's; also used Stardust Stickles for the flower centers.
Mmmm. The smell of the bread that's in the oven is wafting upstairs, mingling with the scent of the beef stew that's simmering on the stove. I think it's time to go down and get dinner on the table. Don't you just love fall and winter food?
Thanks for coming by today — and for hanging in there with me when I don't post for several days. I hope to be back tomorrow with more Clean and Simple cards. Have a great Sunday evening!
Was Ken able to get the picture of Ally and her card to you? I have to tell you...that card was special to Ally...Thanks again
